...You're getting really good at this game, Ape. ::slight smile::
I tend to be a very realistic person; I always look at things logically and realistically. It actually gets tiring after a while, but it saves me from disappointments. Even so...I'll have to choose dreams. It's hard to explain exactly how dreams make a person feel; it's different depending on the person. And besides, when reality becomes to much for me, I can always turn to my dreams. I suppose you could call it a form of escape.
The Wilderness or The Ocean?

The ocean because noone has ever reached the bottom or been to every part of it, plus it's beautiful.
Eating or drinking?

Well...
I don't get hungry easily, and when I do it I just eat whatever looks appealing to me at that moment. I usually just drink soda...so...drinking, I guess. ::shrugs::
Beauty or Heart?
In other words...would you rather have someone who's beautiful on the outside or beautiful on the inside? I asked this because I know some people who'd pick Beauty no matter what. I'm just curious.

Well, I would choose Heart, I think, yeah. Because I wouldn't want to know someone who hides behind make-up with a personality worse than stinging nettles.
Nature or Technology?

|
|
Post by xXxCloud_StrifexXx on Jun 28, 2006 11:32:07 GMT -5
That's a hard question to answer, especially in this day in age. Every where you look: technology of some kind. I can't deny that I like technology (after all, who wouldn't if it makes your life easier?), or that I rely on it a whole lot. But...I'll still have to say Nature. Unlike technology, Nature is alive. And beautiful. It's peaceful and soothing, and very inspiring (among other things). Technology can be like that for some people, but I'd rather live in a world filled with Nature's warmth rather than a cold, metallic world.
That's just my opinion.
I suppose you could say I already asked this, but this is a different context, really. If you knew something that could "destroy" a person, would you rather:
Lie or Tell the Truth?
Lie to shelter said person or tell that person the truth?

(I agree with you on the Nature front. That's why I joined Scouts, to get away from town once in a while, and see the stars.)
If I had free choice, I would bend the truth slightly. But since I have to choose... You say could 'destory' them. If there is less of a chance that they will get 'destoryed' then I would tell them the truth. But if it was probably that it would 'destroy' them, then I would, as you put it, Lie to shelter. BUt it all depends on how likely it would be to ruin them.
Half empty or half full?
I'll explain this. Basically, are you an Optimist, or a Pesimist? Half full, meaning Optimist, or Half Empty, meaning Pesimist.

Often have I been asked that question, Ape. heh. And I always answer: Half Full.
Did I forget to mention I'm a person with contradicting characteristics? Well, I already said I was a realist, and most realists tend to be pessimistic, but I'm an optimist to a fault (according to my friends). I don't show it often, but I really am.
The Sun or The Moon?

That's surprising for someone who says they're not very good at writing happy poems.
The Moon. Strait out. Simply because it's not as dangerous as the sun. Less UV rays. That, and I also like the silence of the night. I'm a very quiet person, usually, and so I enjoy sitting, enjoying the wonders of nature. The moon and the light it casts on everything, is just so beautiful.
Water or Land?
Water can include swimming pools. Basically, do you prefer to be in the cool embrace of water, or the reassuring sturdiness of land?

It is? Well, again there's the contradicting characteristics -- I may be optimistic but I have a weird outlook on life. And if you haven't noticed, all my poems so far are about love -- or, at least, unrequited love. And...well...I just broke up with my girlfriend so...yeah...
Anyway! I agree on the moon front. My favorite time of day is nighttime, actually. I actually wrote a poem about the moon -- well, the embodiment of the moon but it's another unrequited love poem.
Hmm... I can't say I can choose. I love the water (it's one of my favorite elements), but I'm sorry to say I don't trust it. As for land, it's incredibly sturdy and reliable -- but not all the time. So I can't really answer this question.
Earth or Sky?

Earth. No arguments. In the sky, in planes, it's always so iffy. I don't know if any of you heard about that Helios flight that flew strait into a cliff. Everyone (Yes, everyone) died. However, on the land, it is sturdy, and on foot the only danger of every day life is walking into a lamp post, which isn't particularly pleasent.
Power or Money?
Would you rather be completely loaded with money so much that you blow your nose on 50s, or would you rather have the power to do almost anything you wish?

With money comes power, and with power money.
With power to make things go your way, life could get boring. And with money to buy whatever you wanted, life would also get boring. If I had a choice, I'd choose neither, but since I must choose I will go with money. I'm not greedy. It's really hard to bribe me to do anything (according to my friends ::smirk:, but if I positively had to choose between Power or Wealth, I'd choose wealth.
Sun or Rain?

Call me crazy (you wont be the first), but I go with rain. I like getting wet, what can I say! Especially when it's completely hammering it down. I love it. It's all really cool. Especially when you can jump in the puddles!
Fire or Lightning?

|
Post by xXxCloud_StrifexXx on Jul 1, 2006 8:18:54 GMT -5
Well, if you're crazy, Ape, then I'm completely mental. I love the rain, too. It feels really nice to be out in it, and surprisingly enough I don't get sick when I do. Well, not too sick, anyway.
Hmm...well...I suppose I'd choose fire. It brings warmth, comfort, and, in some cases, rebirth. Sure, fire has it's dangers. But only if you're not careful. Lightning comes out of nowhere (figure of speech >_>) and the next second it's gone. Lightning just makes me uneasy.
Curl up with a good book or Go out to a sporting event?

You have no idea how crazy I am. Trust me, if you knew me in real life, you'd be driven up the wall. I'm annoying, too. Well, me being a bit of a Geek, I would say Curl up with a good book. I would choose a CHERUB book. They're cool. Simply because I'm probably the LEAST most Athletic person on the planet. I HATE track events, I HATE sports day (even more so this year because it's the deadline for a 20 page project on WWI). Cremation or Burial? ('Scuse the spelling, if I got it wrong.)

I already told my mom this (and she gave me a strange look afterwards) that I wanted my remains burned and sprinkled in the one place I loved to go to. Burial grounds are way too expensive these days, and I'd rather my relatives/friends didn't see my body. It's one thing to hear someone in your life died, it's another to see their dead body right before you and feel the cold skin.
Who would you rather be killed by?
Your Best Friend or Your Worst Enemy?
