I don't have one favourite book. I have loads. I have 2 fave trilogies.
Trilogy 1
The Black Magician Trilogy - Trudi Canavan
I love these books, simply because they are raw brilliance. Canavan is a jewel when it comes to writing books. My brother got me the first in the trilogy for christmas last year, and I couldn't stop reading it! I finsihed within 3 days of openeing the wrapping.
Trilogy 2
His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman
Obvious reasons. I love the books. They have a great storyline, and are written well. The characters are amazing, and the world is so complex that Pullman is writing a book called 'The Book of Dust' to explain some things that weren't explained during the books. And I've also read 'Lyra's Oxford' which is a 48 page addition to the trilogy. They just rule!
Trilogy 3
The Inkheart Trilogy - Cornelia Funke
I adore the story here. I also like the lengths of the novels. Nice and thick. I just enjoy reading almost any fantasy book, but these are special. Reading things out of books is such an easy thing to write about, but she has done it well. Very well.
Other Books
The CHERUB books - Not one book, but loads. They're so exciting. And they're really fun, with humour in there aswell.
Time's Eye - This isn't a well known book. I got it in Cyprus, and, well, it's just amazing. It deals with time travel, and it talks about the possibility of a paradox.
The Keys to the Kingdom Series - Yes, a series. Mister Monday, Grim Tuesday, Drowned Wednesday, and Sir Thursday. Those are the books currently out. By Garth Nix, the world it is set in has amazing areas, and brilliant characters. Funny aswell. It also has some ideas about God subtly hidden in there.
Private Peaceful - How can you not like this book? It is an eventful and tragic story of two boys who end up in the Great War. It's touching and it gives you an idea of what it was like for them.
I have plenty more books that I like equally as much. Hell, I've had plenty of time to read. Sorry for the long post. Hope this doesn't put off other people.
Delete this post if none of the Admins or Mods like it. PM me if you want to know about any of the books here.

I have quite a few. Sorry, I suppose that'd be an understatement. I can't keep track of all the books I've read and loved. But I'll try to list down some of my top favorites:
The DaVinci Code Angels & Demons Deception Point Digital Fortress
Incredible. Thrilling. Amazing. I can't think of a good adjective to describe them. Dan Brown has great talent; he mixes just the right amount of fact with his fiction to make it all seem realistic. Like it could happen--that it did happen. Also, I noticed he likes to write about smart, strong-willed, independent women who are all very beautiful in their own way--not only in their physical appearance, but in their personalities as well. I admire that.
The Artemis Fowl series
I can't help but laugh whenever I read them. I absolutely love Artemis Fowl, the crafty devil. He's absolutely brilliant (I should be intimidated, but I'm not). His arrogance gets to me sometimes, but I'm still very amused by him. I bought the Artemis Fowl Files and when I read his report card, I couldn't stop laughing. The way he treats his teachers--and especially how they react. The wit with which the series was written is greatly appreciated.
City of the Beasts Kingdom of the Golden Dragon
There's actually a third book to this series (I suppose it's a trilogy; I haven't heard anything about a fourth book) but I have yet to read it. I don't know; I enjoy the exotic places the two books take place in (The Amazon, and then Asia), and they have a sort of...magical (?) quality to them. I feel like I'm actually there with the characters, not just sitting wherever I happened to be at the moment and reading what was happening to them.
Sword of the Rightful King
A very interesting take on the legend of Arthur and Excalibur. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd like to say something about it, but unfortunately it'd be a spoiler and I'd hate to do that to anyone who's thinking of reading it.
Kira-Kira
It was a requirement that I read this book for my Book Club, and I found myself enjoying it. It's a very touching story, and I came close to tears at the end.
Kira-kira is Japanese for "sparkling".
The Alex Rider Adventures series
I don't know what I like about this series exactly, but I do enjoy reading them. It's written with the question: What if James Bond had joined M16 when he was 14/15 years old? My favorite character is Alex (not very surprising; the main character is meant to be liked). Sometimes, he reminds me of Artemis; other times, he reminds me of me or someone I know in RL. He reacts very realistically to the things going on around him, and he's the kind of character I can relate to (I've been told I could relate to every character I come across, but I don't think that's true).
The Harry Potter series
I have to admit that I didn't enjoy the last book as much as I did the first three or four books of the series, but I love them nonetheless. The movies, I could live without, though--no offense whatsoever to the director(s), actors, and everyone who worked on the movie or to the people who enjoy said movies. My absolute favorite character is Draco Malfoy, Harry's arch-nemesis (well, second arch-nemesis). I mentioned that my friends told me I could relate to any character; well, Draco's one of them. I'm not going to rant, but as much as it annoys me that people are so prejudiced (to him and to characters similar to him), I also find myself incredibly amused whenever my friends are reminded exactly which character is my favorite in the HP series.
Anyway, off track. The story-line is fantastic/interesting, the characters (most of them, anyway) are enjoyable, and I just have to say that a series that made people who normally hate to read enjoy reading deserves impossible amounts of praise.
...I suppose I should stop. heh. There are tons more, but I'm most likely taking up space. (This is one heck of a long post) I appologize for typing so much.

Hello... I have a few Favorite Books The Named ------------------- cant remeber who wrote it This book is about a guy who is 16 (haven't read this book in forever) and he is a time keeper. What he does is he goes back in the past and makes sure that everything that should happen, happens. He has two friends, a girl who is also his crush and a guy who is over 800 years old. My favorite part of this book is when the girl dies. Her soul is sent to this plain in between Earth and the afterlife... sorta like Limbo. The only way the two guys can save her is if her true love yells her name. First her crush yells for her...and she didn't respond! (kinda sad for him) and then the 800 year old guy (he looks 17 but is really like 800yrs old...kinda like a vampire) And he calls her name and she comes back to Earth. Hahaha seems as though her true love is not the one who I would have expected. I love this book (its the first in the Time Guardian trilogy) because it was exciting, fun and a real page turner! Micah ----------- This book was written by Laurell K. Hamilton. The main character is part time vampire hunter Anita Blake. Her real job is raising the dead for Animators Inc. (shes a necromancer) Anita is friends with the master vampire Jean-Claude, another vampire named Asher, an assassin named Edward, a werewolf named Richard, two wereleapords named Nathaniel and Micah and she is also friends with a were rat named Billy or something like that. With her large cast of friends and larger cast of enemies Anita always seems to end up kicking some Butt whether its a vampire, a snake lady, a flesh-eating zombie or another human. This book is the 13th in the Anita Blake series and the first book is called Guilty Pleasures (LOL ignore the title ^^ THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!! <- enough said Dead Until Dark ---------------------- This book is one in the Sookie Stackhouse series. This was written by Charlene Harris and is about Waitress Sookie Stackhouse, vampire Bill and Eric, hes also a vampire. In the first book Sookie finds her grandmother dead, her pet cat Tina's blood sucked out, she shoots another lady in the head and manages to survive with minimal injuries. The only problem is she's psychic. This book was extremely entertaining and was very fun. The first book in this series is called Living Dead in Dallas I think. Okay well thats all I'm gonna say, I have more books I like but those are the top three ;D CUTE SMILEY FACES! PS: I love the spell check =P
