I've read His Dark Materials twice, now; It's a trilogy of books by Philip Pullman. The books are called:
Northern Lights (or 'The Golden Compass' if you live in America) The Subtle Knife The Amber Spyglass
Personally, I really like these books, and there's alot of people out there in this big wide world we live in. Does anyone here like those books too?
And one more thing. In the books, Philip Pullman uses the idea of 'God' (named Metatron in the book), except he depicts Metatron and the church (The one branch mainly focused on is the 'Magistearium'('Scuse my spelling))as evil. He has recieved various criticism becaue of this. Some people might find it offensive, or even as Heracy, of a sort.

I enjoyed this, mostly because of its themes relating to the Christian church and its exploitation of man. I found the last one to be boring though... it just didnt do alot for me

Notice how she didn't say 'i read all of the books' she found the last book boring as well!!!! You know she did!!! ha!!
The end was quite sad... at the part were they're both sitting on the same bench. (forgive me if this isn't actually in the book...)

Yeah, the bench in the Botanic gardens. I nearly cried when they found out that they had to seperate, after they'd just realised that they were in love. I really hated that bit. And I also nearly cried when they actually left each other and Lyra watched Will close the window. I had to stop myself crying because I was with my Grandma... On a lighter note, I have no idea how Philip Pullman managed to write two pages about Lyra slipping into the abyss pit thing. Oh, and Lulu, did you find the last book boring? You can say no if you want, don't say yes just because it's Heracy to me if you really did find it boring.
